Provision and use of Public Information

Kerry ETB is required (under the 2012 Act) to ensure that its published information is clear, objective, accurate and accessible.  We are progressing work on strengthening how we provide the public with information on our FET Programmes and Services and have articulated our commitments to doing this in our Strategy Statement.

Learner information

Kerry ETB has published a single Learner Handbook for all learners registered on Kerry ETB FET Courses.  The handbook provides information on Kerry ETB, some useful tips for learning, how to prepare for the assessment, and gaining qualifications.

Our website and the National FET Course Hub provide public information on all FET courses and services; in line with the guidance on the provision of learner information set out in the QQI Core Statutory Guidelines (section 9.2).

Kerry College publishes a single prospectus providing information on courses and services offered across the colleges three campuses- Listowel Campus, Denny Street and Clash Campus and Monavalley Campus.  The Admissions Office at Kerry College provides information and assistance on further education and training opportunities at the colleges three campuses.  The Admissions Office is a key access point for the public providing information on all FET courses, the course applications process and income supports.

Kerry ETB Adult Guidance Service (KAGIS) is available to all people over 18, and those over 16 and not in full time education.  The service helps people to explore education and training options- offering one-to-one guidance, information and help with applications.  Information on local and national courses is also provided through the KAGIS Information Service.

Kerry ETB publishes reports on its quality evaluations and quality improvement plans. Kerry ETB published a Provider Profile and Self Evaluation Report in preparation of the QQI Inaugural Review of the implementation and effectiveness of the quality assurance procedures in Kerry ETB. Kerry ETB has developed a Quality Plan 2022-2027 and has previously developed and reported on plans to QQI.
