The Dingle FET Centre is situated in the heart of Dingle Town, and since opening in 2017 has been delivering accredited and non-accredited courses to adults in the West Kerry area.
Courses are offered on a part-time basis, from a wide range of disciplines such as Healthcare, Horticulture, Information Technology, Arts and Crafts.
Courses are offered on this part-time basis to enable learners to further their knowledge and skills at a pace that suits their individual lifestyles and schedules.
Healthcare Support L5 is one of the core programmes in which we offer a major award. Other accredited single subjects are also delivered at a variety of levels such as Special Needs Assisting, Equality & Disability, Psychology, Behavioural Studies, Office Skills, Digital Media, Computer Literacy, Horticulture, and Stained Glass.
A variety of non-accredited courses are also run every term. These are designed for those who want to develop a new skill and meet new people while furthering their knowledge in a specific area of interest such as archaeology, nutrition, photography, basket weaving, jewellery making, quilting, glass slumping, mosaics, creative writing, languages, herbal medicine, and gardening.
We also offer workshops on marketing your business online, Excel, and in sustainable living topics such as recycling, establishing a polytunnel, poultry and beekeeping.
The Dingle FET Centre promotes lifelong learning and strives to meet evolving individual and community needs through quality, accessible education. Courses are delivered in a friendly, supportive environment that encourages and inspires adults to continue expanding their knowledge and skills.
