The Protected Disclosure Act came into effect in July 2014 and was updated by the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022. The Act provides a framework within which workers can raise concerns and report relevant wrongdoing in the knowledge that they can avail of protection against penalisation. The Kerry ETB Policy sets forth the requirement that Kerry ETB workers report suspected misconduct and outlines the channels and procedure for reporting concerns.
In accordance with the provisions of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014, Kerry Education and Training Board has appointed Sarah Quille, Data Protection Officer as the designated officer for receiving protected disclosures.
